AB Marketing Group is a 9-year marketing agency serving local and regional businesses across the US. Our model is simple to say and hard to do: we find the specific thing holding a client's growth back, fix it, prove it in numbers they can open any time, and they own all of it. Paid media is one of the sharpest tools we have for that, and our paid program has grown past what one specialist can carry. We're hiring a Senior Media Buyer to take real ownership of our client accounts: Google and Meta, built and optimized to put qualified leads and phone calls in front of business owners who are counting on them.

Why This Role Matters

This is not a button-pusher seat. Setting up campaigns is the easy part. We need someone who thinks at the strategy level: what the campaign is actually trying to do for this business, where the spend is lying, and what to change so the client sees more leads and sales, not prettier dashboards. Our clients pay premium rates and expect premium expertise. The accounts you'll run are not test budgets; they range from a few thousand dollars a month up to five figures, and in every one of them real revenue depends on your decisions. You should be able to walk into an account on day one and see what we're missing.

What You'll Do

  • Own a book of 20 to 25 client paid-media accounts end to end: Google Ads (Search and Performance Max) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), from account architecture through daily optimization to monthly reporting. A creative team, a strategist, and a second paid-ads specialist support you, so your time goes to strategy and performance, not production.

  • Build campaigns that optimize to the metrics that actually matter for local service businesses: cost per qualified lead, phone calls, and form quality. Not vanity clicks, not impressions.

  • Diagnose and cut wasted spend: search-term and negative-keyword discipline, audience and placement cleanup, bid-strategy alignment, and Quality Score and ad-relevance issues.

  • Own the integrity of conversion tracking on your accounts. You define and validate what needs to fire (GA4 events, Google Ads conversions and Enhanced Conversions, Meta Pixel and Conversions API, gclid/fbclid capture, GTM); our web team implements the plumbing. If the tracking is wrong, the optimization is fiction, and you'll catch it before it costs the client.

  • Feed our offline-conversion loop so the platforms learn from real, CRM-qualified leads, not just form fills, and bid toward the leads that actually become customers.

  • Run disciplined creative and landing-page testing with our content and web teams to lift conversion rate, not just click-through.

  • Deliver clear, on-time monthly reports that connect spend to outcomes: leads and revenue, not a screenshot of the platform dashboard.

  • Run the monthly paid-media review on your own accounts and join strategy calls as the paid expert. A strategy lead owns the overall client relationship; you own the paid story inside it: explain the strategy, defend the decisions, build confidence.

  • Bring urgency and ownership to every account. Wasted ad spend compounds daily, and so does a well-run account.

What You'll Bring

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years hands-on managing Google Ads and Meta Ads with real budget responsibility and proven results. Both platforms at a high level, not one strong and one familiar.

  • Agency experience, required. You've run a multi-client book at a marketing agency and know the rhythm of juggling priorities, budgets, and client expectations across many accounts at once.

  • Proven lead-generation experience for local or service-based businesses: you optimize to cost per qualified lead, calls, and form quality. This role is not a fit if your paid experience is e-commerce ROAS only.

  • Familiarity with Google Local Services Ads (LSAs): how they work, how they sit alongside Search campaigns for a local client, and when to recommend them. Hands-on LSA management is a strong plus.

  • Working familiarity with CRMs, because lead quality lives there. Many of our clients run on GoHighLevel, and you should be comfortable working inside a client's CRM to check lead quality, close the loop with sales, and feed offline conversions. GoHighLevel experience specifically is a strong plus.

  • Deep, hands-on command of conversion tracking: GA4, Google Ads conversions and Enhanced Conversions for Leads, Meta Pixel and Conversions API, gclid/fbclid capture, and Google Tag Manager. You can tell when tracking is lying, and you know exactly what to change to fix it.

  • Fluency in Google Search and Performance Max structure, Smart Bidding, negative-keyword strategy, and search-term analysis.

  • Strong analytical skills: you turn data into specific actions and a clear narrative, not vague observations.

  • Clear, confident English, written and spoken: you can get on a call with a US-based business owner and be the credible expert on their account.

  • Available and responsive during US Eastern (New York) working hours, wherever in the world you're based.

  • Self-directed work style: you don't need to be managed, reminded, or chased. You flag problems before anyone asks.

  • A track record of delivering reports and optimizations on deadline, every time.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with ChatGPT / OpenAI Ads (we run an early pilot and want to stay ahead of it).

  • TikTok, LinkedIn, or YouTube paid experience for the right verticals.

  • Hands-on LSA campaign management (familiarity is required; running them day to day is the plus).

  • Multi-location campaign experience: geo clusters across service areas.

  • GoHighLevel administration depth: pipelines, workflows, and attribution reporting, not just viewing leads.

  • Comfort with CallRail or similar call tracking, and with reconciling call, form, and platform conversions without double-counting.

  • Light scripting or automation (Google Ads scripts, spreadsheets, basic API familiarity) to work faster.

  • Experience standing up clean tracking on a new website launch alongside a web team.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days

  • Master our tools, processes, tracking stack, and your assigned accounts.
  • Take ownership of your first accounts, audit their tracking, and fix anything misreporting before you touch budget.
  • Deliver your first round of optimizations and your first monthly reports on time, without follow-up.
  • Show command of strategy on at least a couple of client calls.

First 90 Days

  • Fully owning your book, with measurable improvement in cost per qualified lead and lead volume where the budget allows.
  • Established as the senior buyer on the paid team: anyone can cover anyone, and the program keeps running when someone is out.
  • Conversion tracking across your accounts is clean, trusted, and feeding the optimization.
  • Zero missed reports. Zero surprises the client hears about before you do.

What Makes You Successful Here

  • You treat every client's ad budget like it's coming out of your own pocket.

  • You bring decisions and recommendations, not just questions and problems.

  • You move with urgency, because wasted spend and missed demand both compound daily.

  • You're organized and reliable, and you never need to be reminded twice.

  • You can explain a bidding strategy or a tracking gap to a non-technical owner in plain English.

  • You own your accounts completely: if a number looks off, you find out why before anyone asks.

Team Structure

You'll be the senior media buyer on our paid team, working alongside a second paid-ads specialist, and report directly to our founders and team leads. No middle management: you're a direct contributor with a direct line to decision-makers. You'll collaborate closely with our creative team (they make the assets, you direct what to test), our web team (landing pages and tracking), and our SEO and strategy leads, because the best ad results come from the whole funnel working together, not the campaign alone. This is a flat structure where results speak louder than titles.

Compensation

$2,500 to $3,000/month. Remote contractor role, paid monthly based on experience.
